October 2009

Sad month for Jubilwell

October has been a sad month as we have said a fairwell to two more of our Sussex.

Sh Ch Jubilwell Kynance, known as Tamar, unexpectedly became ill with bloat on 28th October and had to be put to sleep at the young age of 7 years. She was a brilliant brood bitch and was our second generation show champion.

As if this wasnt enough..........Jubilwell Alder, known as Connor was also put to sleep. Connor had been ill and on 31st October, the decision had to be made. He missed his companion (J Tudy) and his sister (J Weeping Willow) badly. A terrible year for our Sussex.

Betty and Doris went to their first champ show in September and both qualified for Crufts.

Three Jubilwell puppies were entered into the minor puppy bitch class of 5 and managed 1st, 2nd and 3rd - not bad for their first show.

East of England

Roxy delights the Jubilwell kennel by winning their first CC in Clumber Spaniels! She has been consistently placed at shows since a puppy winning 6 RCC's. Now she has topped this by getting the CC, BOB and shortlisted to the last 10 in the Gundog Group. Many thanks to Breed Specialist, Linda Mcgillivary. Roxy was not the only one to do well at this show, her brother 'the Stig' won the RCC and Sussex Spaniel Jubilwell Teazer owned by Vicky also won a RCC.

July 2009

Jubilwell Weeping Willow

Unfortunately, we had to put Jubilwell Weeping Willow to sleep this month due to Pyometra.

She was never shown or bred from but she was a brilliant worker who followed on from her mother's footsteps, Jubilwell Chloe. Although 'Teal' never won a field trial, she still managed to be placed in 20 field trials. She also did not disgrace herself at the SSA trial in January where she was the only Sussex to take part. She has left a great hole and will be missed dearly.

July 2009

Firstly apologies to those trying to get onto the website in the last couple of months, we have had technical problems which are now thankfully resolved!!

We have not done many shows over the last couple of months but our greatest wins have been at SKC in May and Windsor show held this Month. Roxy added two more RCC's to her tally making this 6 in total and she is not even two years old yet!!
